Update on Hiatus

As i've been extremely busy with work, i never ever get the time to write about how things have been these past few months. I believe the previous post i've done was about 3 months ago?

My job has taken a toll on me, positively! the expansion and events have been mind boggling.
But on a lighter note, things are simmering down which will allow me to actually take sometime for me to write here.

I've been working too much which is making want to get out of here and go for a nice getaway.
Doesn't have to necessarily be far away, i'd be happy just to get away for a few days.

I'm looking at Nepal, but it's currently off my budget so maybe next time for that.
But now, i'm really looking into going to Vietnam or Cambodia.

I need some recommendations! Currently looking at reviews of places to stay and things to do there.

Please let me know! :)

Naked Palettes

http://www.urbandecay.com/urban-decay/eye-makeup/naked/245.html
http://www.urbandecay.com/urban-decay/eye-makeup/naked2/282.html

I would say i'm a huge fan or Urban Decay, and ever since they came up with these beautiful palettes, i can never get my eyes off them. They have put together such a beautiful scheme of colours that almost everyone can enjoy. It does not matter on what skin tone you have, i would say that its something that everyone and use and appreciate. From the The darkest shades to the lightest, Sparkles to matte, its simply amazing.
Each palette comes with a double brush which is super durable! One side is perfect for applying the shadow and the other is to be use for blending it out! Each colour on the palette is super pigmented which does require any touch ups, like i always say, a little of it goes a long way. Many people have been asking me, out of these three palettes, which do i adore the most.. It was a tough choice, but i will have to say...
Naked 2 !!
why? I feel that the new naked palette has a very warm undertone which i'm not much of a fan. the naked 2 palette has colour that i'm comfortable to wear on a daily basis, casual and formal events.Naked 2 is the in-between of Naked and Naked 3. Just look at the colour scheme and you'll know what i mean :)

Aiming for an adventure!

These past few month my boyfriend and i have been very into the japanese culture. Which is obviously making us wanna save up and head there towards the end of the year. I mean, i would obviously wanna venture out further to probably to europe for the end of the year. That's currently still pending.
I've been doing my research and there's so many things i would love to do in Japan.
Food, sight-seeing, culture and just a whole new experience for me. I'm korean, but i've never been to Japan and would very much want to. Many friends of mine have been there and said to us to at least head there once in your life. I will fulfill that. Here's some pictures at the bottom that i feel looks amazing!

Morning Skin Routine !

Hello my lovelies!
Today's post is a detailed one on how i do my Morning Skin Routine! I do this every single day, and not found any other product to do a change-up. All the Products that i will mention works incredibly well for me. Just note that this is the way that I do it, and may not work for all of you, However if you would like, you can always change-up the way you love. My skin is Oily/Combination. Which is, T-zone and chin are oily whereas my cheeks can end up getting all dry. That includes the sides of my nose and corners of my eye. To top it off, i also have major sensitive skin. So here it goes!!

When i get up, first thing i do is hit the showers and brush my teeth.
I will then get out and grab my Clarasonic Mia 2 and add a little cleanser which is the Philosophy Purity Cleanser, just a pea size amount added onto the brush and start going in small circular motions with the Clarasonic. The brush head that is attached to the Clarasonic Mia 2 would be the sensitive one.

http://www.polyvore.com/clarisonic_mia_blue_moon/thing?id=92921196       http://www.prettyinthedesert.com/2012/03/review-philosophys-purity-made-simple.html

Once i'm done with that, i head to my room and start using an Oil-Free, Mattifying Pore Refiner as my pore are very visible, The one i'm currently using would be the Philosophy, Total Matteness Pore Refiner. I do not usually go for a toner as the clarasonic removes all the impurities i need off my skin.

I follow up the step by using Porcelain's, Sebum control essence, which i would say is one of the best products i have ever tried for my skin. It's not sticky, it gets absorbed into my skin so fast and hydrates my face! Totally loving this product! i would high recommend it to any one with problematic skin!

And lastly to top it off, I would use Porcelain's , Balance HydraClear Gel!
-It is mild and does not cause drying or peeling
-Helps to brighten and refine your skin
-Balances pH, sebum and moisture levels
-It is cooling & soothing and has a watery gel texture

Go check Porcelain's porducts out! Super amazing!!!!

M.A.C Mineralize Concealer - Review

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib-Rg-eI6Gt8jyUfCtUauESV65XK2U_g3yYR06seg-GQYoifAJdVEszhGQh-yHVyVQ-Vg2fQGLp1RUaOI3wT4V-DYheBB0g4NaoHU-Gj5fGDA3V09-av1FKvi8O9CAw9X3DvdmZPytPFM/s1600/macmineralizeconcealernc30reviewswatches.jpg

Can everyone agree that women cannot leave home without concealer?
I feel that i can most likely leave home without foundation but concealer is a no go for me.
I've been using tons of concealers over the years but still i come back to one that i've been loving for the longest time. I previously was using the Revlon ColorStay Lipstick like concealer, but i find that makes my under eye kinda cakey but still does the job. Considering that its like a lipstick, the consistency of it is quite thick as i drag it on my under eye area..

But this baby above just works so well for me. It's the M.A.C Mineralize Concealer, 5ml. I use the shade NW25 which is shade lighter than my skin tone. it's consistency is thick, yes. But when i blend it out, it just gives such a nice dewy finish which does not make it look cakey at all, it does not feel like i've placed some under my eyes.

With its applicator, it makes the job alot more easier for me. To apply them, you honestly don't need alot.
A little of it goes a long way. The trick is just to blend them out. Using this, i don't ever think i need to use foundation. Just add these on the imperfections, add on some translucent powder and you're good to go.
If i'm not wrong i got this for less that $40. It is quite expensive compared to getting them over in the US or UK. We just gotta except that big brands like this, to get them in Singapore is definitely not worth it. But i would still say it is a good buy for me cos this product seriously lasts for some time!

Katy Perry - Purr

Last year, i bought this perfume for a friend for christmas. i really love the scent of it, but i felt it wasn't my cup of tea. As i really like scents that are fresh and fruity.
I was in Takashimaya just last week and i bumped into it again and gave a sniff again and i realised that it really smells amazing. Since previously i was using Victoria's Secret Body mist and lotion.. I felt there was a need to keep re-applying it throughout the day. The scent does not stay as long as a fragrance perfume which i think we all know this. So i decided to get it and give it a go..

I've been loving every single time i wear it. It has a super deep mature smell and it's quite sultry.
Not sure if i can pull off this smell well but everyone around me seems to really like it.
The packaging is really awesome as well. Super adorable! all purple kitty with a small pendant on it.
Not to mention, Katy Perry looks smokin' hot on the packaging <3

Give it a go and let me know what you think!
It was on sale before Chinese New Year, got it for $50.00! such a steal!! <3

Resolutions

I'm not sure that i would say i follow through New Year Resolutions.
To be honest, majority of people would actually come up with a list that they try to accomplish within the year, but really.. do you really follow through throughout the entire year without fail?
I might believe that out of 10 people, may 3 would do it.
But i can safely say, that i am not one of them..
I even come up with the simplest of resolutions, and still as much as i try, i never get to it.
So this year, i decided to be realistic with the resolutions and try sticking to it..

Ed Sheeran - I See Fire

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how lovely this song is. His voice and the way the song is sung.
I absolutely love this song, I might be a little obsessed with The Lord Of The Rings, It's been about 6 years and i will never get sick of that movie. I have a condition. Will anyone agree that is it one of the best movies of all time? Please someone enlighten me.

CLARASONIC MIA 2

Last week, i decided to head over to Sephora to get the Clarasonic for a Birthday treat to myself.
I had to consider getting it for sometime because it is quite pricey here in Singapore.
When i headed to the Sephora at Ngee Ann City, i was advised by a really friendly staff who did the proper recommendations for me which i am absolutely thankful for.
Considering that my skin type would be Oily to combination skin, she mentioned that all skin types are good for this equipment! even for sensitive skin! ( that's me as well, major sensitive skin. )

So there i was all getting ready to purchase the Clarasonic Mia, then the sales assistant prompt me to purchase the Clarasonic Mia 2 which was about $45 more. The difference of the Mia and Mia 2 is that the Mia 2 had to speed settings for you to choose, either low or high. It also has a timer for when you are suppose to shift to the next section on your face. The timer is set to 1 Minute, and in a clock wise motion, the timer will alarm you to move to the next part. 20 seconds on the Forehead, 20 seconds on the chin and nose, and 10 seconds on each cheek. Which i feel that is very important to have the timer. even though this product is non evasive, i still feel that one should not overdo with this equipment as our skin is super delicate.

I was told that i could use my own facial wash with the product, so currently i am using the Purity Cleanser by Philosophy which goes absolutely well with the Clarasonic Mia 2.

I would say, using this more than 5 times, i can definitely see alot of difference. My skin a less bumpy and brightened up. it is save to use it twice a day. Many people said that the first few times of using the clarasonic might break you out as it is deep cleansing your skin and the breakouts are toxins from deep in. however, that didn't happen to me. Love this product and will keep loving it!
I got the exact same colour as the picture below, this cost me $215 from All Sephoras!, super preeeeetty!! :)

Fragrance Combination

These past few year i've gotten use to my all time fragrance. I've never gotten sick of it at all.
It's the Britney Spears, Midnight Fantasy. With it fruity and floral scent, it can never go wrong. Everyone will always ask me what i'm using and get quite shocked that it was from Britney Spears.
I recently found a new discovery and i can say that i absolutely love it. Not that i will not use the above anymore, i think change is good...well sometimes..
I ended up doing a combination of two scent to form an amazing scent to die for..
It is the Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction body mist combined with Victoria's Secret Sensual Blush Lotion.
OMG, i cannot emphasize how brilliant these scents come together.
Pure Seduction has a very light and fresh scent, it's combines with red-plus and freesia.
Sensual Blush has a down to earth mellow smell that i figured most people will appreciate this scent,
It's a mix of pink lotus and sultry woods.
The way it's named sounds out of this world. so yeah, give it a try and let me know what you think!
It's really inexpensive as well! Both would have cost less that $40.

With love!

Year End 2013 Holiday : Bangkok, Thailand

Hello there!
Last year, 2013.. Instead of spending alot for a long holiday. We decided to go to Thailand for the year end holiday my boyfriend and i do every end of the year. We previously went to Malaysia and Indonesia so this time we decided to head off a little further. Others might be going far to Europe, USA and so forth.. But i guess our time will come later on when we've saved enough cash to go far. We're actually trying to save up and prolly head to Japan at the end of this year, but we'll see..
So we started saving at the last minute thinking that we could make it for the year end trip..
So we saved from September and managed to finalize everything by November and we were off to Bangkok on the first week of December.

We got our flight tickets off the sale period, so we ended up paying 250 bucks each for Tiger Airways.
We should have just waited for the sale and got it for half the price but screw that..
We managed to find really cheap accommodation for the trip.. We stayed at At Mind Executive Suites which was located in Pratunam. The closest station to the hotel was on the BTS line, On Nut. Because we went during the time the protest was going on, from the airport we decided to take the MRT to our hotel because taking the taxi would have got us held up by the protest. it took us about 45 mins from the airport to the hotel.

We got to Thailand in the evening and decided to venture out to places that were open till late. Asiatique was the place to go.. Such a lovely ambiance and amazing food! The next day we got up early, had breakfast at the hotel which was relatively good, and headed to Chatuchak! after that we headed to the heart of bangkok and shopped till our legs were literally aching!
We didn't go sightseeing because we didn't want to get inbetween the protest that was going on, so all we did was eat and shop till the time we had to head home :(
At the end of the day, we did enjoy ourselves

Next up.. Tokyo, Japan!!!!

lovelovelove!

End-of-year Beauty Haul : Sephora

I haven't been updating this blog as often as I was suppose to. I figured I could do one right now to start the year 2014 the right way and hopefully continue to post on a regular basis for my readers ( If I ever do have some..)

So last week I ended up going to Sephora, at Ion Orchard to use up a gift card that a family friend has given to me as a present for Christmas. It was a $200 gift card, and the items I've purchased we're either something that i've never ever tried before and always wanted to.. Or it was something that I was done with and needed to get a new one.. So here it goes..

First of was the Philosophy Purity cleanser.. It is a 3-in1 cleanser for face and eyes..
Now when they said 3-in-1 cleanser..you must be wondering.. How does that even work?
We'll it states on the product that it replaces your make-up remover, facial cleanser and a toner!
And best part is, it does everything it says on the bottle.. Which was why I needed to get a new one because I am in love with this. This would be the second bottle I've got and I'm not disappointed at this product at all. Considering that my face is a combination of oily and normal, this cleanser does the job for me.

Moving on, I'm almost done with my concealer.. The previous one I was using would be the Revlon, Photoready stick concealer. I did like that but I felt that if I used slightly too much of it, my under eyes would look cakey. Still like it but I don't love it. So I heard from a few friends saying that the MAC Mineralized concealer was worth trying.. I so got it! I got it in the shade NW25. I've yet to use it often to be able to do a proper review.. Look out for that soon!

Next up would be foundation.. The foundation I was using before would be the MAC Studio Fix Fluid which has SPF 15 in it. I was the shade NC35. Loved it but I just wanted to give another brand a try and venture out to find the best foundation that suits the skin type that I have. So I got the Sephora 10HR wear perfection foundation in the shade, 20 Clair light. The bad thing about it is that there is no sun protection in it so I'd have to wear sunscreen below it. Good thing about it is that it really stays on for long hours, I'm not sure if it's 10 hours but it matti files my face throughout the night! I did get the compact powder with this and both works really well!! Love it!!

Second last item I got was a mascara..
My previous post was the mascara I was using which was the maybeline rocket mascara.
Without a doubt, still in love with that however, I found another bad boy to add on..
Benefit, they're real mascara. Oh my god, can I just say that it would be one of the best I've ever tried.
It lengthens and give my lashes so much volume.. Double love because it comes with a small one which I can travel around with. Amazing!!

Lastly to end off would be something that I think I might love and re-purchase it..
Before this product I was using the MAC Studio fix plus spray. I really did like it because it did hold my make up for long hours without much to touch up.. But because my skin is oily, and I've heard youtubers rave about this product particularly miss glamourazzi who has oily skin..
Urban Decay, De-Slick MakeUp setting spray. If you've got oily skin, and just want matte looking skin all day without the need of touching up? Get this baby right here..

So everything I've mentioned cost me a total of $208 so I just had to top up the $8 for all those items.
I will do a review on each item when I've actually tried them long enough for me to rave about them.
The next post I will be talking a little about my trip to Bangkok in December 2013..
Planning more travels for this year!!!

Love love!

Yankee candle

So today I went to parkway parade, marine parade shopping center.. Wanted to grab so lunch with my lover as well as getting some necessities for my daily use ( toothpaste, dental floss etc) and I low and behold!!! They've got The Yankee candle store there!!! Super excited! So I spent a good 30 mins trying to figure out the perfect scent for my room. I'd really like the vanilla cupcake.. But nah, I've got that in my room now and it's kinda making me wanna eat all the time so.... I got the Bahama breeze instead!! Super fresh and extremely calming! This candle cost me a whooping $39.95! But worth every penny! No regrets at all. Hehe

What do you reckon?

Or.......

Year end holiday?

So these past few days I've been thinking about going on a short trip. Maybe to Indonesia? Bali especially. Beautiful island as well as a nice place to relax and get away from busy cities and people. Or maybe I should go to Chiang Rai? Beautiful mountain resorts to relax. One of those would be perfect for me. I've actually considered New Zealand as well.. But oh well.. Decisions :) let me know where I should go this December! Somewhere besides the beaches. I want mountain resorts! :)

Make-review : Rocket Mascara - Maybeline

Looking for a really good mascara that would hold your curls throughout the day? Highly recommend this one. It's the Rocket Mascara by Maybelline!
This has got to be the best one I've tried so far. I've tried the falsies by Maybelline too but the Rocket Mascara still is my favorite. As much as I splurge on high-end mascaras to find the perfect one, this ends up being the best in my opinion. I've tried Lancôme, Clinique, covergirl, sephora, Estée Lauder.. They're good but expensive. So is stick with this one.
It has an ultra-sonic brittle brush which gives you so much volume and extends your lashes! It's definitely clump-free and light-weight as well! This mascara cost me not more than 20 dollars if you're getting them at the local pharmacies! Curl your eyelashes and add these on.. You'll look and feel super amazing.
Leave a comment of you've tried this product and let me know if you agree! :)

Love love!
